Your Mission

The objective of the Customer Care Representative is to interact with customers in order to facilitate them doing business with our company – e.g. by translating contracts into bookings, answering questions, resolving support issues and by nurturing relationships. Customer Care works in the Simply Deliver platform as central internal platform. An Online booking tool will be used to provide (self-) service in an automated, digital way as much as possible. Next to this, Customer Care is responsible to create a lock-in and loyalty effect by providing state-of-the-art service recovery solutions in case of irregularities and by implementing a voice-of-the-customer program incl. feed-back loops into the organization.

The Customer Care Representative will be the face of the company and is an important link in the logistics chain. From the request till the arrival at the customer, s(he) will ensure a good flow and tuning between commercial and operations. The Customer Care Representative will ensure that information flows smoothly and keep track of everything administratively.

Your tasks

Satisfying customers – For our customers, you will actually be our company. Once they have placed their order, you will monitor our internal processes and adapt them to suit the customer.
You will coordinate specific transport services for different customers, which may be based both nationally and internationally. You will be able to manage capacity (filling level) and to adjust or draw up plans in consultation with the customer.
Producing consignment notes – You will take charge of the administrative task of drawing up consignment notes. You will help come up with digitization ideas for every step in the process.
Problem-solving ability – You will be able to put out fires if necessary. Need to find a solution to get your transport moving? You will easily get to the bottom of the issue so that this works out fine.
Reporting – You will monitor the quality of our service to the customer by means of standardized reports.
Working in various systems – You will manage to switch smoothly between the various systems, understanding exactly what each system does.
Link between the commercial and the operational – You will adapt the information that you receive to suit the various departments between Lineas and the joint venture
Optimizing processes – You will not be satisfied with simply following processes mindlessly. Do you think that things could be better? Quicker? Easier? If so, you will consult your colleagues and customers and look for concrete improvements.
Planning of open trains – You will take care of planning the open trains.

Your profile

As a Customer Care Representative your main focus will be on customer service. You have a hands-on mentality and are able to set priorities if necessary.
You can deal with a changing environment, as we are growing quickly.
You are a multitasker and someone who really values efficiency;
You believe in pulling your sleeves up and learning things. This means that you are also organised;
You have the necessary power of persuasion, you are proactive and you can work both alone and within a team;
You have a preferably a bachelors degree and approximately 5 years of relevant experience.
You are fluent both in Dutch en English.

Scheduling: Your work schedule is determined according to planned periods. Changes are made in consultation. For unexpected tasks, you receive a bonus. You also receive compensation for shift work. Your daily rest time is at least 14 hours (at home) or 9 hours (when staying overnight in a hotel). You are entitled to 114 rest days per year, of which 24 are double rest days, and 12 of these double days (one per month) fall on the weekend (between Friday 10 p.m. and Monday 6 a.m.). A rest day lasts a minimum of 38 hours.

Wat je doet – speuren en keuren

Als rangeerder spoorwegen voer je technische visuele controles en keuringen uit van treinonderdelen – van remmen en lading tot koppeling.
Je checkt beschadigingen en beoordeelt hun invloed: wel of niet vertrekken?
Je controleert of gevaarlijke goederen correct worden vervoerd.

Wie je bent – buitenwerker met pit

Safety first is jouw motto. Je kent en respecteert veiligheidsregels.
Fysiek werk zoals wagons aan- en afkoppelen, bukken en tillen ... is je dagelijkse beweging.
Je voert je werk goed uit, zonder ondersteuning of toezicht van anderen , buiten de kantoormuren en in de frisse buitenlucht.
Je werkt in een shiftensysteem, nl. vroege-, late- en nachtdiensten.
Je durft beslissingen te nemen wanneer dat nodig is.
Je neemt snel dingen op en past het toe in de praktijk.

Wat je krijgt – een motiverend loon met extraatjes

De betaalde opleiding tot rangeerder spoorwegen begint op:
1juni 2026 in Gent, na het voltooien van de opleiding is je werkplaats Gent of Zeebrugge
Direct een vast contract, met een startloon van €2.574,27 bruto en na 6 maanden vervolgopleiding naar 3.085,14. Je loon groeit met dienstjaren. Jouw mentor en trainer begeleiden je om je comfortabel te voelen in je functie
Je geniet van voordelen, zoals vakantiegeld en een dertiende maand. Daarnaast ontvang je extra vergoedingen voor je prestaties tijdens shiften. Ook zijn er vaardigheidspremies en groeimogelijkheden binnen je functie, waarbij je beloning toeneemt naarmate je kennis en vaardigheden groeien.
Andere voordelen zijn maaltijdcheques van €9,00 per gewerkte dag, ecocheques van €250,00 per jaar, en een verzekeringspakket met hospitalisatieverzekering, persoonlijke ongevallenverzekering, verzekering gewaarborgd inkomen bij ziekte en groepsverzekering.
Je hebt recht op 23 wettelijke vakantiedagen. Daarbij komen nog 6 dagen voor het inkorten van de werkweek. Na een jaar werken krijg je ook een extra dag vrij. Daarnaast ontvang je 1 dag dienstjarenverlof per 5 gewerkte jaren in dienst.

Your Mission

As Senior Service Agent IMC, you will serve the customer by providing pro-active communication, plan & follow-up the transport and services together with the involved sub-assemblies. You will be part of the IMC pool, serving the Intermodal Segment with a Value Added Service.

As a Senior profile, you are the expert of the internal process and related activities for the IMC segment and product portfolio.

Your tasks

Customer Communication:

You manage and build the customer relation daily and (pro-) actively to create opportunities and retain Customer satisfaction. You offer a high standard service delivery. For our customer you are Lineas!
You are pro-active by thinking along with the customer, assessing and acting before possible incidents
You assure the tracking & tracing (within office hours) via digital applications and other ways
You receive and assist the customer with his complaints within the LINEAS-organization

Transport planning & fulfilment:

Planning: you ensure sub-assemblies are aligned on the transport plan
Check-in: you perform all manipulations on a container level, so that the IMC additional service will be delivered. To/from the customer, but as well internal/external stakeholders (Terminals/operators)
Follow up: you ensure a qualitative follow-up by Control Tower, intervene in order to maintain quality on data completeness and ETA definition
Fulfillment: you close the transports in the back-end system correctly, so that Terms & Conditions can be calculated

Order-2-Cash process:

You ensure that the number of wagons and containers without a correct order remains as low as possible and communicate the situation to the different stakeholders within the organization.
Incorrect shipments: You assure that wagons/containers shipped to a wrong destination run back to a location where they can be used again.

Value Added Services: You log Value Added Services in our VAS Tool, ensuring they can be invoiced to our customers.

You are an expert of the task & activities of the IMC segment and product portfolio. You are able to train and share knowledge towards Service Agents (IMC)

You supporting the Area Manager in the business continuity and service level towards the IMC segment/product portfolio.

You’re an expert of the application supporting the container & booking activities and are ability to change/create master data.

Als ervaren Work Train Driver ben je in het bezit van een vergunning van treinbestuurder en aanvullend bevoegdheidsbewijs (brevet B2). In de uitoefening van deze job bestuur je werktreinen en voertuigen op het spoor die instaan voor het onderhoud van de infrastructuur, zowel van de bovenleidingen als van de sporen. Je staat ook in voor de bediening van de werktuigen, dit op in dienst of buiten dienst gestelde sporen.

Wat zijn je taken?

Je bestuurt de werktrein op een veilige en effectieve manier (eventueel met afstandsbediening) van depot/station naar andere stations, van/naar werkplaatsen, van/naar/op locaties waar infrastructuur werken uitgevoerd worden
Je maakt de werktrein klaar voor vertrek (aankoppelen, remproeven uitvoeren, verzamelen en nazien van de documenten, immobilisatie van het stel, loskoppelen, recuperatie eindsein,..)
Je reageert op exploitatiestoringen, alsook ongewone gebeurtenissen en noodsituaties
Je voert rangeringen uit (incl. koppelen / afkoppelen van wagens en locomotieven, immobilisatie verzekeren/opheffen)
Je doet de bediening van aansluitingen
Je herstelt kleine technische problemen
Je beheert en onderhoud de stuurcabine
Je communiceert met de infrastructuurbeheerder, met personeel van Infrabel of personeel van de onderaannemer aanwezig op de werven en rangeerders/schouwers
Je raadpleegt gegevens in IT systemen en voert deze in (bv veiligheidsberichten, dienstfiches, …)
Je vult administratieve documenten in (bv prestatiefiche, onkostennota, …)
Tussenkomst op vraag van (L)COC om niet geplande besturingstaken op treinen uit te voeren

Wat is jouw profiel?

Je bent in het bezit van een vergunning van treinbestuurder en aanvullend bevoegdheidsbewijs (brevet B2)
Je spreekt Nederlands. Je bent in het bezit van een certificaat B1 Frans.
Je hebt technische expertise opgebouwd en op peil gehouden door permanente opleiding (mbt veiligheidiigheid, seinen en verkeer, lijnen en infrastructuur, rem, …)
Je hebt technische kennis van het gebruikte spoormateriaal
Je hebt kennis over reglementering rond treinbesturing op in dienst en buiten dienst gestelde sporen
Je bent flexibel qua uren en locatie (dienstaanvang op meerdere locaties overal in België)
